WANT TO VOLUNTEER? LOOK RIGHT HERE!
Volunteers Needed
We need:

Social Media, PR and Promotions People
To spread the word on socials, online, line up local and national publicity, print, radio and TV, especially major TV networks. "The more who know, the better it'll go!"
Experienced Fund Raisers and people to make calls and send emails
Ollie Cam Live Stream
While Ollie is on the river and during stops for "pawtographs", photos and "Meat and Greets", he'll broadcast LIVE on the "Ollie Cam". We need volunteers to operate the "Ollie Cam" and drones for cool aerial shots.
Chase Crew
Safety First Always! After 50 years on the river, Michael is very experienced. However, we are looking for boat and Jet Ski clubs to be chase crew for parts of, or even our whole trip! It’s a fun way to get involved and add to the safety of the trip.
Children’s Book Illustrator, and Caricature Artist
To help offset our personal expenses, we are selling a children's book: “Ollie’s River Adventure”. We need an illustrator. The book will teach kids 7 valuable life lessons that Ollie will learn:
1) Safety First. Always! He'll have GPS, 2 phones and safety gear.
2) Set Goals in Life. (Ollie's is 500 miles).
3) We All Encounter Obstacles in Life. (He will go through many dams).
4) Into Each Life Some Rain Must Fall. (Rain slows us down).
5) Life Can be a Bumpy Ride. (He’ll face some bumpy waves).
6) Teamwork (Ollie, his mom, dad and volunteers will work together as a team).
7) Never Give Up! (A 4-5 day trip, for weather delays and dams. He keeps going!)
Schools, Scout Groups, Kids’ Sports Teams, etc
Ollie wants to meet as many people as possible! He will sign “pawtographs”, and pose for pictures at towns and marinas along the way. His schedule will be posted on this site as the trip gets closer, with the exact times subject to change due to weather, etc and will be updated on this site, the Ollie Cam and social media.
Help Ollie Set a Bunch of Guinness World Records!
For example: Most people to feed one dog in a day. Many of his stops will be “Meat and Greets” where each person, especially kids, gets a piece of his favorite healthy kibble to feed Ollie. If hundreds of people feed Ollie, it will be a world record and a fun way for everyone, especially the kids, to feel involved in making Ollie’s trip a success. Times and locations will be listed and updated on this site.
